Children and Families
People are confidently more happy and ultimately more productive when they feel safe and secure.
School brings basic order and routine in children's lives, and parents are joyously confident when their children are secure and happy. Daily school routines, safe after-school care, and weekend activities provide parents genuine security to returning to work with confidence. The stability at home and work allows for the greatest probability of a successful, no-more-pause, future, even with the dimness of a winter COVID-19 resurgence.

Sibrid Education presents a vision on ways to prepare and organize for the safe and cautious reopening of large inner-city school communities, amid continued upswing of COVID-19. While implementation may not be easy, having a comprehensive school reopening proposal on hand can help keep a smile on everyone's face. Academic program schedules, safety protocols, parents readiness support and a monthly Sibrid calendar to help parents align their work schedule with their children's school schedule surely promote confidence within entire school communities. Thus, children and parents are less stressed thereby minimizing anxiety and uncertainty.

a. On days when children are participating in school via Home-School-Online, they are fully engaged with their teacher and half (.5) of their classmates, who are in their classroom at school. All instructions throughout the day are live as well as simultaneous between home and school. Both home-school-online and actual in-school students are expected to be active and productive participants.

b. Parents and children are more energetic when they are fully immersed in living life. The regularity in routine of 3 or 2 consecutive days of school and work each week makes it easier to track, instead of irregular alternate or staggered days (M.W.F or T.Th) schedule models. Small children and most young adults manage routines better when it is clear and consistent. On a monthly basis or as needed, parents take some time to share and explain the new SIBRID CALENDAR with their children and then post it conspicuously in their room or somewhere in the house to enable the children to follow their group. With explicit understanding, parents and children will be more aware of expectations, thus make school appear a bit normal, in these uncertain times.

c. Attendance - No more school absences! Every child can have perfect attendance. Full-time instructions will always be available in realtime online/virtual and in-person/in school.

d. Suspension - No more waste of critical learning time when a child is suspended from attending physical school. If a child should need to be timed-out from the larger classroom, in consultation with their parents, the child will be assigned home-school-online. The duration of time may vary based on the infraction level.

Specific to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, parents may select full-time home-school-online utilizing the SIBRID Home-School-Online Education Model until a vaccine or better management of the Coronavirus. Students remain fully enrolled at a their school (public or private). The scholastic expectations and final results for Sibrid Home-School-Online students are equal to that of the students attending physical school. Sibrid Home-School-Online students follow the school’s daily academic program for their class as written for simultaneous instructions. All social activities, i.e. sports, class trips, clubs and graduation, are fully extended to Sibrid Home-School-Online parents and students.
Lastly, parents are able to align their work schedule with that of their children’s school group - Group A or Group B. This work and school schedule alignment allows parents to support, guide, motivate and supervise their children during Sibrid Home-School-Online. Most primary and some secondary school children will continue to flounder if a parent or a responsible adult is not home during any model of online or virtual learning. Employers might find it helpful and beneficial for their employees with children to merge the 2020 -2021 School Year SIBRID CALENDAR with their own established work calendar. Life for parents that are able to telework would become that much simple and more efficient. Parents report to work when their children are at school and telework when their children are at Sibrid Home-School-Online.
